Toucam Pro 740K first light.  These are the first pictures taken with my new Toucam Pro.  2X Barlow, optimized color mode. (note, the toucam adapter makes the ccd about 2" closer to the eyepiece/barlow than my Vesta adapter.  Using my 25mm eyepiece only gave a about a f13 instead of the typical f30.  The barlow still give about f30 in this setup.

Prime Focus and Eyepiece Projection 400 frames for each image processed in K3CCDtools, Registax2, and Paint Shop Pro 7

April 21st  2004 - Jupiter has been tough to get for the past couple of weeks.  EP projection ~200 frames captured (between the clouds) processed in K3CCDtools and Wavelets applied in Registax2

March 12, 2004

Various processing attempts on two normal mode AVI's.  My RAW mode avis for this session haven't produced good results (yet)

Image reduced to 75% of original

AVI processed on K3CCDtools, output fits files, stacked with no wavelet processing in Registax2
March 12, 2004 Same AVI processed with various techniques.  Images reduced to 75% of original Handselected frames in Registax2. Color balance and unsharp mask in PSP7.

Fits files from K3CCDtoo;s, processed in Registax2 with wavelets and PSP7 color tweaking

Pre-processed AVI in Virtualdub using levels and general convolution.  Stacked and wavelet processing in Registax2. Color balance in PSP7

Pre-processed AVI in Virtualdub using levels and general convolution.  Stacked and wavelet processing in Registax2.  Unsharp mask in PSP7 + color balance.

Feb-08-2004 (seeing 5/10)

RAW mode gain=80, bright=20, gamma=0 Processed with AviRaw, Registax, and Painshop Pro 7 image reduced 50%

(need to clean ccd, lots of dust which caused streaks)

Jupiter was really big with the 17mm Plossl for Eyepiece projection.  The image is not cropped.  Just reduced in size by 50%.

Feb-08-2004 (seeing 5/10)

EP with 17mm Plossl, hand selected 270 out of 500 frames.  gain=80, bright=20, gamma=20, sharpening off AviRaw, Registax, Paint Shop Pro 7, image reduced 50%

I wanted to try and get some more color out of the image below, so I ran the AVI thru Virtualdub and applied a levels filter.  Then I adjusted the color balance in Paint Shop Pro (highlights) to get the "better" color image to the right. Before After
